I have a 2010 5 seater 2.2 Premium CRDi. I've been towing a Coachman Amara Caravan, 1490 kgs and 23' 4" long, single axle. It tows like a dream and very happy with it............apart from - I occasionally ground the jockey wheel when going up or down an incline (such as getting on the ferry).

The rear of the car sits very low down when hitched up and loaded. I realise this can be counteracted with strategic loading of the caravan but I still feel that the suspension needs beefing up a bit.

Has anyone else had this problem or any suggestions as to a cure?
Can anything be done with the suspension?

    Towing with SF Suspension

Hi - I used Grayson spring assisters on my i30 1.6 diesel estate car and they worked really well. I have since changed my car to a Santa Fe Premium 7 seater which has a self levelling system. I understand you can have the SL system fitted to your car - but it is really expensive - The spring inserts can be found on link -
