Any thoughts or nightmare stories out there.

Also the list MSRP on the web site is 22,595 for a 2004 manual.
I'll take it since I don't need AWD and an cheap.

This will be the first new car I'll buy how much can I bring down the price
    by negotiating.
I'm taking a trade in car bluebook 4k and I'll have close to 6k for the rest
    and
    finance the remainder.

Any help is greatly appreciated...or if you know of any other web sites etc.

    Thanks.

    Pejo.

Overall pretty happy with ours. 2002 base auto model. (2wd)

Had an issue with paint peeling on roof within a month. Dealer took
care of that as it was determined to be an issue from when it came over
on the boat. Tranny pump wasn't working so burned the tranny and that
was replaced no questions asked. Also just had the front axle replaced
and again no hassle, no questions asked.

Overall little disappointed in the problems although I leased many new
American cars for years and they were all nothing but trouble. Once a
month major repair cars. Also you had to fight with the dealer to get
anything covered. With Hyundai they have been terrific at the dealer.

For drivability and such I have been extreamely happy.

  3. I've got about 40k miles on my 2002.5 V6 AWD, have only had a couple of
minor problems which were promptly taken care of by the dealer. So far, its
    been a great experience.

Nightmare? A pleasure, at least for me. 2002 4wd, 25,000 miles in New
England, snow storms and the works. Amazing value for the money. I have
had no issues, only they made a mistake on the HP and as a result got
warranty extended to 72,000. Sleeps outside, currently temperatures in
the teens and getting lower, it starts every morning without a problem.
So far, only changed the oil.

Wife drives an MDX but she likes the SF still, says she feels very
comfortable in it. I say the same when I drive her car, am I not very
    nice? :)

Bottom line is: do several test drives, make up your own mind, and check
Consumer Reports which has significantly upgraded Hyundai as a whole.
