We are thinking of a Santa Fe GLS.
The dealer told us to take one home and 'play' with it for the weekend. It
is sitting in our driveway!! I thought that was pretty amazing!!!
Anyway, the dealer was bewildering us with numbers when we were figuring out
    cost with a trade-in.
I think it will be best to sell the trade in ourselves, then we can better
    talk about the Santa Fe.
Can anyone suggest what price the SFs are going for after negotiating???
    Thanks for your input.

Go to Edmumds.com and price one out. They have the going rate based on your
    zip code.

You should be able to get any Hyundai vehicle (with the exception of
the Tiburon w/ 6-speed) for $100-200 over the invoice price (not
counting any rebates that might apply). Add on tax. Generally, the
rebates end up cancelling out the tax and title fees.

If your dealer isn't willing to give you the vehicle for near invoice,
find a different dealer. Volume dealerships will be more willing to
    go lower on the price.

Well, it is in the garage now...We got it for 400 less than invoice price!
    Actually, its' my wife's.
My '98 Olds Intrigue with >100K miles will probably crap out soon.
I was thinking of a Sonata or XG....but now I'm thinking of another Santa
    Fe!!!!
