Just bought an 02 Sonata with the 4 cyl auto...fully loaded except
leather and heated mirrors.
The timing belt was just done and all fluids were changed out. Car was
motor vehicle inspected 2 weeks ago...Car has 90,000 kms...60,000 miles
What work should I look to do?
Any major issues with these cars?
Any sites for stuff like headers, intake, exhaust? Or is it worth the
effort to upgrade?

Time to replace the spark plugs. Check the fluids and make sure they're
okay. Have a look at the air filter.

Most of all, make absolutely certain you replace the timing belt when it
comes due again (4 years/60k miles). This engine has a propensity for
stripping the belt.

Thanks...forgot to mention...plugs and wires were done also...all work
was done at the Hyundai dealership...just wondering if there are any
known issues with this car...thanks.

How expensive is it to do the timing belt?
How many hours labor and what cost are the parts needed?
Are there guides that need replacing...any other recommended items to
change when doint the job?

Cost of parts and labor will vary greatly by geographic location and
individual facility used, so if you want to have the job done or have an
idea what it will cost, it's best to call around a few places near where
you live. I'd replace the balance shaft belt and timing belt hydraulic
tensioner when the job is done. This job would be about $750 where I'm
employed, but you should expect that to be toward the high end of the
spectrum.
