Unfortunatly, my son left the keys in the Hyundai Accent. A slim jim
was used to unlock it, but now the lock is not working right. It is a
normal (not power) lock. Any idea on the cost of a repair.

    Thanks

Since prices vary across the country your question would be better asked of
a dealer or a body shop in your area.

  4. It's possible the lock linkage was bent during the opening process. If
you take off the inner door skin, you should be able to see the
mechanism, figure out how it works and what is damaged. There should be
marks left by the slim-Jim on the parts it contacted.
How could anyone know that without knowing what's wrong?

Most likely, one of the clips has been knocked off the lock rod. You'd
need to remove the door trim panel and reattach.
