Are you good at recognising cars?

Discussion in 'General Motoring' started by christian9997, Jan 3, 2004.

  1. Hi

I took some photographs of cars but am not sure what they are.
Can someone help in identifying these cars:

    http://christian9997.terrashare.com/photo.html

    8 cars:

    1 Audi ?
    2 Audi ? (Is it an A4?)
    3 Hyundai ?
    4 Mazda ? (B2500?)
    5 Alpha Romeo ?
    6 Mercedes ?
    7 Hyundai ?
8 ? (Looks like a Renault Megane but I wrote it down as being a
    Mazda 323)

If you could give me the names of these cars I'd be very grateful
    Thanks

  2. Ok guys. Let's have a show of hands here.

Everyone who thinks they won't get spammed if they e-mail this guy please
    raise their hands.

    I thought so...

It's Alfa Romeo, not "Alpha Romeo".

Damn Fool. Knows less about cars than even they think.

And.... If you were close enough to take these pictures then you could get
closer and take a look at the car.

    Fool.

And...if you spelled "recognising" correctly, I might think might think that
this was a marketing exercise...can the average person identify these
cars... But no, you're a fool.

took the photo's but then didnt bother to go to the vehicle and write down
what its badges were telling you. You could at least take a photo of the
rear end ! thats where the manufactures logo and model will be.

badges on the side tell you about submodel differences like a luxury or
sports upgrade, engine size or type..but those boring vehicles you show dont
have any such badges, so boring.

Did you post this to any other newsgroups ?

and if you have photo numbers on the pictures as labels on each picture,
why dont you refer to them by those numbers..

instead if just counting them 1,2,3,4,5....

Also I have a hint for you.
The one with "mazda" on the side (the 4x4) definitely is a mazda.

  11. Yes in fact I did post this in other newsgroups (of cars that were on
the list) and got a lot of friendly and helpful replies.
It's only on this newsgroup that I seem to have got...agressive, rude
or smartass replies. Not a single helpful reply!

If you guys don't know much about cars fair enough just don't answer
the post, it's as simple as that. What's the point of being so
    unfriendly?

BTW If the model badges had been on the cars I wouldn't be asking for
help. Think before you talk bigmouth!

    You are wrong.

    You also multi-posted.

You also came to the bargain basement discount shop to ask about caviar.

Did you try posting them to alt.binaries.pictures.autos
I often see requests for car identification there.

    Good Luck.

  14. What do you expect? We're getting spammed 7/24 with everything from
Christina Aguilera worms, to MMF fools; from 419 scams, to get rich quick
schemes. No one in their right mind is going to come in here and present a
valid e-mail address unless its an attempt to harvest addresses from the
    users.

So FOAD troll, and don't come back unless you have a legitimate question
    about Hyundai automobiles.

Also I have a hint for you.
    What groups ?

alt.autos.mercedes .. at least mercedes owners are interested in the various
models of those elitist cars ...

    alt.autos.alfa-romeo
    alt.autos.audi

clanger said he would rather watch paint dry
pete still wondered what the point was.

steveh in the alfa group thought the "MAZDA" badge (just in front of the
left door) might be stuck to a Nissan 4wd. Well yeah they do look similar
    .... incest.

And the identification of the asian people movers are still in doubt.

    Your final list is ...

    1) Audi Coupe
    2) Audi A4 Cabriolet
    3) Hyundai Santamo
    4) Mazda B2500
    5) Alfa Romeo 164
    6) MB (C107) SLC
    7) Hyundai Starex
    8) Mazda 323F

There's an old maxim "it takes one to know one".
If you are friendly and helpful, wouldnt you list the groups ?
If you were thoughtful you would have CROSS-POSTED to the groups instead of
    multiposting.

Multiposting is considered a bit rude. Unless you are asking
"can you recognise the hyundai vehicles in these photos ?" in the hyundai
    group,

Can you recongise the alfa's in the alfa group, etc...

Ooh, is it aggressive to tell you to use the labels that you have on the
    photo's, instead of relabelling them 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 ?
Well you didnt even note the insignia on the cars.
You said "hyundai?" . you should have said, Hyundai . what model ?
As in you know its hyundai . Those people movers are copies of Mitsi/Nissan
    , thus confusing people.

You werent sure about the mazda and european cars, you could have said
make ? model ? my guess "mazda 323".

So you went hunting for all the cars with the badges removed ???
Must have taken you a while to find them !

Front and rear photo's will help identify different models.
People dont like to guess at models because they look like idiots when they
    get it wrong.

And now, lets see how if I should take any notice of your dummy spitting....

    Nah doesnt look like it.

    Hi

I was just wondering if LSA would be ok as a party drug.I was thinking of
taking 5 HBWR drinking a couple of red bulls and
    going clubbing.
Would this be ok? Or would I feel to lethargic, nauseous and fucked up
    to go dancing?
    Have you already tried it?
