My radio AM/FM/XM keeps going off and on. It may come on when I start the car , play for 2 to 20 minutes than go out (blank screen) than come back on again, it is constantly going off and on.

This issue just started happening to our 2012 Santa Fe for a couple of weeks now. Same identical issue where the radio is on and then just goes out (blank screen) and then a couple of minutes later it will turn back on and play just fine. It doesn't matter if you're playing a CD or just listening to the radio. All other electrical components in the car seems to be fine....possible defect in the radio unit??

I am having the same random on/off cycling of my radio. Has anybody found the cause of this problem?

I am having same exact issue with the radio...how did you fix it? What was your outcome? Still dealing with it? Install new radio?

Same issue here! Anyone got an answer besides buying a new unit?

    No, no answer.
    But, I have a suggestion
To take a look at the connector from the radio to the car.
If everything else on the car is working fine then
Maybe the electrical connector is loose or the pin is loose.

I know it is a pain in the a.... to take the radio out to check this.
And if this isn't the issue then all that time was wasted.
    Grain of salt.

I just want to confirm that I'm having the same problem. The radio's losing or regaining power seems to coincide with hitting a bump in the road, which makes me suspect that some connector is loose. I intend to try to pull the radio and will report back on my findings.

    Having the same problem
    But since it happens intermittently
when I took it to the dealer - I was told they could not “reproduce” the problem and hence would be guessing at what needed to be done.

Given all the posts about this issue
It would seem to me that they’d have some TSB info on it
