My 2007 Santa Fe develops a burning rubber smell when the heater is on after the car has been driven for 15 minutes or longer. I took it in to have it looked at and was told they could not find anything. I'm sure this can not be right. I am looking for suggestions to give to my mechanic to look for to fix the issue... which might be to find a new mechanic.

    Thanks!

It may not be the heater itself
You might have the fresh air or recirculate button on fresh
    Which allows outside air in.
Your engine may be burning something??
Would just look at the engine and any hoses near the exhaust
Also look at wiring looms for burning
