2003 Elantra ..GAS MILELAGE??

    Any milelage reports on 2003 Elantra?? Mine with2000 miles just over26

    I get between 28 and 30 depending on what kind of driving mix I have.

    Got mine a month ago and have been averaging around 21-22. But since I live
    in Florida which is hotter and more humid than hell I'm driving with the air
    blowing on high all the time. Also hit some traffic on my daily commute.

    My automatic Elantra gets just a touch above 27 with mostly city type
    driving and not using the air too much. The on board readout states
    in the 26 range, but doing my own calculation gives me the 27. I have
    just over 1700 miles on mine.

    Got my 2003 Elantra GLS in February. My best mileage to date is around 31mpg - that tank was burned doing mostly freeway driving (65-70mph) with the A/C off.
