200 Sonata, V6, CEL- P1154, 105k miles

Discussion in 'Hyundai Sonata' started by Steve Richards, Aug 31, 2008.

  1. Greetings all;

    My wife's best friend's 2000 Sonata just popped a CEL- P1154. I'm out
    of town until Tuesday so she ran it by Autozone and had it cleared.

    The parts guy stated that it's fuel related, could have occured
    because she ran it below empty. My research indicates otherwise,
    pointing to an O2 sensor.

    Anyway, she's going to run the vehicle awhile and update me until I
    get back to Arizona.

    What's your thoughts???

    TIA,

    Steve

    Relates to the cycling rate of the upstream bank 2 (front bank) oxyge
    sensor. There's a recall relating to this, so call your local Hyunda
    dealer (or Hyundai themselves) with VIN and ask them to check for recalls
    If campaign V02 is uncompleted, have it done. If it has already bee
    done, replace the sensor in question at your expense
